Selection is a challenge, because all their food looks amazing I had a huge chocolate croissant Date of visit: August 2019 Helpful. We have lived in Columbus for 27 years and just heard of this place (at a Johnny Steiner concert). WOW Everything we tried was Fantastic We went a little crazy and spent 32 but it was Worth it We got 3 (vegan) nougats, 3 Macaroons. Cinnamon Babka, French apple tartlet, slice of banana walnut Bread (non-dairy), slice of carrot loaf bread (non-dairy), and Focaccia. Our Absolute Favorites were the vanilla macaroon, and Cinnamon babka. Short North Bakery Cracker Crust WasThis was one of the best ever I could tell the graham cracker crust was homemade and the server told me they make their own marshmallow filling. It was. light and fluffy. The chocolate cover was excellent too. First, go here. Find parking in a local lot or the few spots in front of the shop. The croissants are easily the best in town, and yes I have truly tried the best of the best. ALL of the pound cakes are amazing, but my personal favorite is the pistachio honey--its a wonderful melody of flavors. Their tarts change by the season and are perfect for sharing or not. Oh my god their panettone was the light of my entire holiday season last year. Every single ingredient in it was hand crafted and they were individual sized, but I could have easily eaten a large normal sized one. Their baguette is the best in town, and I am willing to drive 30 minutes each way to buy one fresh for dinner, that says something. Lastly, take time to read the owners personal story on starting this bakery, its remarkable and makes me close my eyes and taste the melodious flavors that make their sweets. This bakery having been in business for a few years now adds to the burgeoning identity of the city. There is a small dining area if you would would like relax or just cant wait to indulge. The shop and its contents are visually appealing and even better once in the belly. Whatever you do add some extras to your order, like some lemon madeleines or an extra crossaint. Especially if you get a box to take home, ordering more is a good idea because some items may not make it that far. Coffee to boot Highly recommend the cheddar-dill scones-- savory, salty, and so very flaky. The pastries are amazing, the staff is beyond friendly, and you are made to feel like family.
